The company was founded with the goal of creating agile, efficient, and versatile robots that can navigate complex environments, both indoors and outdoors.

What will MYBOTSHOP do?

MYBOTSHOP GmbH is collaborating with Ascento AG since a couple of years and helping with supply chain & logistics. To expand their collaboration, Ascento AG will provide the base legged-wheeled robot to turn it into the Ascento Resarch and make it accessible for third party development. The Ascento RnD robot will have full NVIDIA Isaac Sim & ROS2 Support to have an awesome & flexible platform for a lot of applications & research topics.

About the Ascento Robot

The Ascento robot is a standout creation from Ascento AG, designed to offer a unique blend of stability, speed, and flexibility. It is equipped with two motorized wheels attached to leg-like structures, allowing it to move quickly on flat surfaces while also being able to step over obstacles and navigate uneven terrain. This hybrid design gives Ascento a significant advantage over traditional wheeled or legged robots, as it can easily transition between different modes of movement depending on the environment.

One of the key features of the Ascento robot is its ability to dynamically adjust its posture. It can crouch down for stability when needed or extend its legs to overcome obstacles, making it highly adaptable. The robot is also capable of jumping, which adds another layer of mobility and makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, from inspection tasks in challenging environments to delivery services.

Applications and Future Potential

Ascento AG envisions their robot being used in various sectors, including logistics, security, and inspection. The robot’s ability to navigate complex environments autonomously makes it ideal for tasks that require both speed and precision. For example, in a security context, the Ascento robot could patrol large areas, easily transitioning from paved paths to rough terrain while maintaining a high level of surveillance.

Moreover, the robot’s design and capabilities are continuously being refined, with Ascento AG exploring further developments that could enhance its autonomy, sensor integration, and overall performance. The company is focused on pushing the boundaries of what mobile robots can achieve, making them more efficient and capable of handling real-world challenges.

In summary, Ascento AG is making significant strides in the field of robotics with its Ascento robot. By combining the advantages of wheeled and legged locomotion, the Ascento robot is poised to become a versatile tool for a variety of industries, demonstrating the innovative potential of Swiss engineering and robotics.
